March 2021 – Experienced technology investor Hawk Invest becomes majority owner of software
company Sixty AS, which has also appointed a new CEO.
Sixty AS is an international software company that specialises in interactive TV-experiences to set top
boxes and smart TVs. The company’s advanced interactive user and graphic solutions are found at
more than two million units all over the world. Sixty AS has international and Norwegian distributors
as well as European broadcasters among its customers.
Hawk Invest has acquired around 90 percent of the shares in Sixty AS. Hawk Invest is a renowned
technology investor that is one of the largest owners at Oslo-listed health tech company Patiensky
Group, and the largest shareholder in successful Norwegian cloud storage player Jottacloud and the
Norwegian file transfer company Filemail.
After a couple of years with weak financial results, Sixty AS delivered a sound profit in 2020, enabling
the company to continuously evolve its market-leading software solutions. Further, Sixty’s new
owners are prepared to inject capital into the company in order to provide even better support to
both its Norwegian and international customers.
Sixty’s headquarters will remain in Bergen, Norway. The new owners have an ambition of increasing
the company’s workforce in the coming years in parallel with planned growth for the company.
Former CEO of Knowit Reaktor Magma and Sales Director in Knowit Experience Odd Gurvin, has been
appointed CEO of Sixty AS. Gurvin is a highly experienced manager of IT and software companies that
specialised in technologies and user experience.
