The launch of Ease TV represents a major milestone for Sixty as a TV Experience company. Enabling operators across the world to enhance their Set-Top-Box offering with as little effort as possible is important to us because we believe any television experience should look good, and feel right.
Even though the major innovation happens in the multiscreen area of the TV market, there are still emerging markets in many parts of the world. In these sectors, the analogue television signals are being phased out and replaced with digitally processed and multiplexed signals (DVB-*).
Additionally most TV distributors are also more likely to indulge in strategic design concepts when it comes to value adding products in the value chain, on top of the regular linear TV model. Such products might be TVOD, SVOD, and tablets/phones to complement the TV viewing. The basic linear TV features are often just purchased and checked off in a spreadsheet, as a commodity. Ease TV’s goal as a product is to deliver the best experience on these checkboxes.
