BERGEN, Norway 24  September  2018 ― Sixty today announced that it is joining forces with Gracenote, a Nielsen company (NYSE:NLSN), to enable its broadcast customers to leverage in-depth sports data, including schedules, scores, play-by-play stats and player & team information, for major professional sports leagues around the world through Sixty’s interactive TV solution, Ease Live.

This new collaboration responds to the growing demand for non-linear viewing by bringing together Sixty’s on-screen clickable graphics technology and Gracenote’s wide-ranging sports data and content services. This will enable Sixty’s broadcast customers to merge the components of the traditional broadcast experience, alongside highly personalized insights and interactive, clickable graphics technology, and deliver it to any device or platform.

“At a time when consumers are becoming ever more connected, we recognize the unique importance of statistics and analytics in driving the sports fan’s viewing experience,” said  Simon Miller, Global Director, Gracenote Sports.

“The combination of our leading data services and Sixty’s flexible and interactive Ease Live Solution gives broadcasters an incredible toolset to create the ultimate sports experience for their audiences. We look forward to working with Sixty to provide fans with more comprehensive and dynamic viewing features that will keep them engaged and captivated with the sports they know and love,” said Miller.

Ease Live is a flexible solution that unifies the linear and online TV experience with a consistent brand and design, providing on-screen graphics that come to life in the hands of the audience by making them ‘viewer clickable’ across all devices. The product can be used by a broadcast system or online video platform and integrates seamlessly into today’s broadcast infrastructures.

“We are entering a new era in sports broadcasting in which fans are increasingly demanding access to more engaging insights and new compelling methods to interact with the viewing experience on screen,” said Kjetil Horneland, CEO, Sixty.

“By bringing together Gracenote’s rich, global heritage in delivering sports data alongside our Ease Live solution, we are building a truly powerful entertainment proposition. This collaboration underlines our commitment to enabling broadcasters and OTT providers to optimize the live sports experience and provide fans with access to the very best in interactive, immersive and data-driven viewing experiences,” said Horneland.
